It all begins and ends with ourselves. We often place the responsibility of our emotional well-being on those with which we engage. Although we are to receive mutual respect and love from others, that expectation will not provide the consistency we seek. We can be consistent with ourselves and how we show up for others. Choose self-love, and everything else will follow.
